Well I heard the 8 pounds thing from the movie Beverly hills cop so it must be true.

Aha! wondered where that garbage originated.

I know this human is suposed to eat meat. Steak once a week.

stocks, are you saying humans hanen't been eating nuts fruits greens etc.. for thousands of years?

No not at all of course we've been eating fruits and greens for thousnads of years.

We were eating that kind of stuff first all I'm saying is somewhere along the line a long time ago we added meat to our diet. We continued eating greens and fruits and just added meat.

i for one am not a vegan although i am leaning toward that kind of diet more and every day especially since most of the old folk i know that die too early is because of something that probably could have been prevented if they had just known what's good for their body and mind.

Kill me? I'll worry about that when my doctor says so.

Living, and my kids, is what keeps me alive!

As our diets digress, in your world, our life expectancies increase. Stay balanced, and don't make me post a picture someone's future veal parmigiana.

Damn, I'm thinking Italian tonight. Better call Huskygal before she starts dinner.

random it seems like you started a thread asking for feedback and viewpoints you really don't want to hear, unless they 100% agree with your own beliefs. Anything to the contrary is "jacking" your thread.

sound about right?

I, for one, spent more than 10 years as a vegetarian...never reaching vegan status but never touched eggs, poultry, red meat, etc. I know "vegatarians" that still eat eggs and chicken which to me is laughable...sort of like a person that doesn't drink alcohol but consumes beer.

While meat may or may not be great for you (totally depends on who you listen to) I don't agree with any dental bs that "proves" we were meant to be vegetarians. For me it was a personal choice, one which I since changed for personal reasons....much like I don't do a lot of other things I may have done in college.

regarding the whole "9 pounds of decayed flesh in your colon" discussion, it's called spin. There is no company that could sell a multi-vitamin and fiber for $100/month without a marketing plan and theirs is to scare the public. Check out colonix or their knock-offs and you'll find their "program" consists of a multi-vitamin, glass of fiber, and a glass of tea at night. Obviously you've bought it hook, line, and sinker but I'll stay a skeptic

In my 10 years of vegetarianism I never once would have tried to tell people how stupid they are for not being like me. If you've never met a vegetarian that died early or had cancer you might want to dig a bit deeper

rolltide, you must have not read the whole thread. nowhere did i say i was a vegan, and don't recall calling anyone stupid, and have no idea what your vitamin rant adds up to in the case of humans being disected after death and their being undigested meat in them.

On a little bit of a side bar here, but I remember sitting in a diner in Hartford when the Dead were in town for a concert. The place was mobbed by Dead Heads. A guy sitting at the table next to us was telling off one of his buddies for eating eggs, something rolltide's post reminded me of. The guy was acting like a total loser, but it gets better.

The Dead were heading towards Toronto. This guy started talking about how he was going to pick up his wife and baby in Buffalo and take them to the show in Toronto. He hasn't seen them for eight months because he's following the band around.

I thought to myself, "and this guy is trying to give people advice"

:ohno:

no reflection on you random, carry on. :toast:

Genetics are what make your longevity, we're all hardwired for a certain mileage.

Modern medicine can also make a difference, especially nowadays with stuff like a heart bypass op.
(Thirty years ago my dad would be dead by now)

Inputs like food won't make much difference, if you eat sensibly.

Maybe only eating once a day would help, since that reduces the amount of "work" your body does to process a fillup.

Keeping your weight down DEFINITELY makes a big difference, after 30 years of smoking I'm fitter and more able than any fatty 10 years younger than me.

Overdoing stuff like smoking(me) or drinking will also reduce life expectancy, since it puts additional/unfair pressure on your systems.

At the end of the day it's your life, enjoy it, it's temporary.

Hey rolltide, were you a Dead Head?
ha, dear god no ... smiths, cure, jane's much more my style

random, your overall tone is clearly stating that all who eat meat are dumbasses with a death wish

word from someone who's been in your shoes a decade ago ... leave others alone. Just because you feel you've "found the way" doesn't mean you've found shit

and your previous post, which I've highlighted below, can basically be taken right from a colonix ad. Would not be surprised if you're job was to push the "vitamin, fiber, tea, repeat" bullshit that is captivating all clueless assholes without half a brain. How else can you get the sheeple to pay you and hundy per month for a multi-vitamin and metamucil?

just gonna guess you are 23 and have not done shit with your life but wish to tell others not just HOW TO LIVE, but why they should follow your ever-so-relevant pattern?

<HR style="COLOR: #fdde82; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #fdde82" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->the average 50 year old meat-eating person - male or female - has up to 8 pounds of undigestable meat in their bowels. This decaying "flesh" or meat as people like to think of it, is the common cause of what many people think of as the "price of living" - colon and pancreatic cancers by the age of 50-60.

Think about what a surgeon tells a heart bypass survivor "cut out the meat in your diet, eat more fruits and vegetables". I say, "why wait until you have to go under the surgeon's knife, start now."

i'm sorry boys you got me all wrong. like i said before i'm not a vegan, just lastnight i had veal with aspargus and lump crab meat. but that was the only meat i ate all day. maybe the title of my thread should have been are we meant to eat less meat then we are conditioned to think we can eat. but doubt i would've got the responses i did in this thread.

and rolltide, no i'm 29 and have worked in the medical field for 10 years and have seen too many fall victim to their own eating habits before i thought to bring up the subject of eating meat and not "tell others not just HOW TO LIVE". why are you so angry.

Random, are you going to name the sources of your information? You are free to refuse, of course, but that won't exactly convince many people.

preussen, i don't remember where the i got the numbers or if they apply to pigs now that i think about it, but i'm sure that the numbers of 10,000x or 10,000% more than humans apply to canivorous such as bears, wolves etc.. i didn't write any of this stuff down. just kinda decided to talk about it on the forum instead with my friends.

is there something you'd like to add to the discussion or are u just proof reading?

If God didn't intend for us to eat meat, he wouldn't have given us steak knives and A1 sauce.

Trust me, he has nothing to add.

He claims math laws on earth are the same in other galaxies and provides zero evidence that it's true. Then he says I'm the person people won't find credible because I can't provide any evidence it's false.

This is what it is like to debate with this delicate genius.
