Davidson -6½
A red hot Davidson team (7 in a row over all and 13 straight at home, winning by at least 10 ppg in 12 of last 13 home contests) hosts Furman coming of there biggest win in years (over Charlston two days ago). Furman will experience a big letdown here in another game of a one sided series, where Davidson won all of there hth meetings since '96, winning 12 straight since then. The quality is obviously on Davidson's side and -6½ is a very short number here. LHG of the season for Davidson and a chance to improve there divisional record before the turney, and to send a message to the struggling Ga Southern team once again. Davidson wins by double digits today.
Wright State +4 & moneyline
The linemakers just dont get it sometimes. Let me say this one more time. Wright State is not only the most improved team in there conference (especially on the road) but also the most underrated team as well. Lats year they were a garbage team, especially on the road, going 0-12 su and 3-7-1 ats on the road, losing mostly by double digits.In last 10 road games this season they are 6-4 su and 8-2 ats.They are 10-2 ats in last 12 over all.In divisional road games they lost by only 4 pts at Ill-Chi and by 6 at Wisc-Mil and they were very close to actually win these games. No other team has been this good on the road in this division down the stretch. With a win today they finish third in division.Wisconsin Green Bay was very hot early in the season winning 9 straight at one point but in my mind, they are a very overrated team, especially because of a very weak schedule early on. They are showing there true colours lately, droping three straight and failing to cover the spread in last three as favs. They have beaten Wright State on the road earlier this season during the 9 game winning streak but this time around we have a whole new story and it is payback time. Losers of three straight will lose outright against the one of the hottest ats teams in the nation.
Arkansas LR +10 and moneyline
Sun Belt East leader Arkansas LR visist the Sun Belt West leader La Laffayette today, and while this game has nor real implications standings wise, it has a lot of importance for the visiting team, trying to revenge three straight losses against the best team in the west. Arkansas LR is red hot, winning 4 straight, 2 of last three in revenge mode, and they face a cld La Laffayette team, playing without any motivation lately, since they already have the reg.season title clinched with there 11-3 conference record. After winning 8 in a row, they are only 2-3 in last 5. They beat Arkansas State two days ago and revenged there loss to this team from last season. They needed that win to stop the bleeding but now they are bound for another letdown and a bad performance.This is there 4th game in 8 days and I wonder how much they have left in the tank, and how hard will they play in a meaningless game for them, coming of a satisfying revenge game only two days ago.
Towson State pk
Well, finally Towson State is not an underdog this time, and for a very very good reason i would say. Last time they were either favs or pk was early in the season when they were favored by 2½ pts @ Loyola Maryland and back then they won the game/covered the spread against one of the leagues worst teams. This time they face another one of the worst teams in the nation, the one that is actually record wise just as bad as themselves this season. However, while JM is having a much worst season compared to last year, Towson is stil a much improved team this year, especially at home, despite there 11 game losing streak.They improved some 15-20 pts per game this season at home, compared to last year. In supposedly close games this season (spread from -3 to +3) they are 2-0 su and ats this year and they are seeking a revenge against a team who beat them by only 2 earlier this season. I will go with an improved team in revenge mode, in there LHG of the season.
