When doing moneyline or spread it's easy as you can compare one team's winning % to the other team's and get it to equal 100%.. but with totals you only have one number.. what do you compare it to?
Ex.
Oklahoma City Thunder = 185.18 = 47%
Los Angeles Lakers = 208.82 = 53%
(I don't if the above is a reasonable way to determine the winner or not as I have never bet moneyline. I have always bet totals, but playing every game.. I've had some success with this but I imagine I could be doing better if I only bet on the best games. In order to figure out which games are best though, I need to figure out my odds of being right in order to compare to the sportsbook odds. If anyone knows how to do this, please give me some insight.)
