This is what a lot of morons like X-Hole and Dems don't get. The Keystone wasn't running but Canada was still producing more oil. How does it get hauled? My freight broker told me that there is more money hauling oil than there is hauling commodities. For every 6 inquiries they get , there is 1 truck available. Where did the drivers go, oil. Walmart is safe because they have their own fleet. Go to the store and buy anything. How does it get there? Price of fuel going up and shortage of drivers, guess what? Everything will see an increase. I sell a truck a month from NC to MO. Freight cost was $1650 until February went to $2100 and March went to $2400. Right now truckers can name their price and get it because people need products. Why not pay them $14,000 per week when you can name your price?

Wasn’t there a new rule a few years ago where truckers could only drive “x” number of miles a day?

That's got to be a one time signing bonus. What experienced driver wouldn't jump at $14,000 a week job.

A number of news outlets this week reportedon a company that is supposedly offering $14,000 a week to experienced truck drivers, but many of the reports left off an important detail—you have to supply the truck.
Sisu Energy of Forth Worth, Texas, claims haulers can earn $14,000 a week in gross pay, but it doesn’t actually hire drivers as employees. Rather, it contracts with owner/operators who are running their own businesses.
“We are all owner operators,” Karrie Ann Grundy, the company’s director of recruiting, told Fast Company in an email. “We have no company drivers. Our frac sand haulers can make $14K a week depending on how many loads they run. We don’t pay them that amount outright.”
According to the firm’s recruiting materials, Sisu does not own company trucks or even lease trailers. It’s essentially like an Uber for truckers, touting “smart technologies for operations, safety, compliance and revenue tracking.”

When energy prices increase, everybody pays more and it hurts the poorest people most

fake news sort of but you prob figured that out a bit from the ridiculous money salary claims

Texas trucking company story...

They are looking for independent drivers who OWN their own truck and trailer.
The bullshit about insurance companies is bullshit.
They will assume no costs (fuel, insurance , repairs, lumpers) , the driver will.
If you are a decent driver you can probably make up to 5k a week (possibly 10k if team driving , meaning both drivers split the 10k).
They will drive you into the ground for this THAT IS IF. You get the right loads.
Team driving only works out for married couples, or couples that have zero expectations of each other and are willing to do anything to deliver the load.
