how to backdoor a parlay

how would i back door a 5 team parlay with 4 winners during the day and the 5th a night game? say i have a parlay 10.00/228.00, would i bet 100 to at least guarantee me winning a hundred? is that the idea?

Not familiar with that verbage, but I think the more common term is that you are hedging it to guarantee a profit (at least that's what the 100 on the other side would be).

TT is correct, "hedging" is "guaranteeing" yourself a profit regardless of the outcome of the game.....

"Backdoor" is a term referring to a team that is down in the game, and "sneaks" a score in at the last minute to "not necessarily win the game" but disrupt the point spread..... Usually a "meaningless" score....
