Pretty easy. You quit when you sick of getting your face smashed in. Smarter then the idiot who stays in there and gets brain damage...

If he fights again his whole career was a farce.

HEART!! He had NONE. Try facing the greatest fighter EVER (including Ali) Ray Robinson, and keep coming back ala Jake LaMotta. Basillio, Graziano, Zale, Pep, all warriors. Notice a common thread there? :think2:

You mentioned some great ones with heart & guts to spare, but Graziano should only be applauded for heart & guts he shouldn't be mentioned with the others as he was not in the same class.

Roberto Duran had everything, probably the greatest Latino fighter & he was a warrior who even after his prime (no mas) had thrilling and grueling championship victories. But he did quit in the ring without even being hurt,
the last fighter you would ever expect to quit.

Lets just go by reality. When was the last big name fighter who didnt come out for a round. Give me one that you can remember. I been watching 20 years and usually guys are pissed the fight is stopped not giving up.

Kostya Tszyu. If you've watched boxing for 20 years, you should know him very well, as it was only a couple years ago. Reality? Yeah. One of the best boxers in the world, and in a title fight that he was WINNING on one card (if I remember correctly)...and guy couldn't stand to take a beating for another round.

I think you need the beating of all beatings. Not saying that in a negative way. This just reminds me of the threads people make criticizing a player for not being able to go in a big game due to injury.

See ya.
