ive read that rings are 400-800% marked up.....I bought mine for my wife last year just in time as the platinum had doubled in price....hopefully you can find a ring with a little black mark or something on the side of it....it will bring the value down a little for you then just cover one of the prongs over the spot....that is what a lot of jewlers do....
I agree, don't spend a ton of money on a wedding ring. If she's materialistic and demands a nice rock, then you have bigger problems ahead in your marriage. Save your money for a house, wedding costs, and other necessary expenses. Like others have said, most of us wouldn't know the difference between a $2,000 ring and a $20,000 ring. Whoever came up with a 2 month salary for a ring must own a jewerly store and looking to scam some poor guy.
Never been to WV heard it was a nice place, a kid I knew along time ago Blake Larsen went on a unofficial recruiting visit there and almost signed with wvu. He said he liked the feel of it alot.
