for college baskets, if you didnt use scorephone the only way to get the results was to wait for the morning paper. If your game was a late start you then would have to wait for the paper in two days later. hard to even imagine now

I remember dialing a # quite a few times. The one I dialed I would get pissed because typically i would let it just talk through the scores but you could say "college basketball" "ACC" "Duke" and it would go to that specific score. Sometimes it was a nightmare trying to get that automated bitch to understand what I was saying. My how far have we come.

I remember calling the score phone number and first commercial was a Stu Finer ad for a LOCK play before they gave out the scores
