archie was the best there ever will be! period! 35 years later the same crap is going on,and if you look in the news the last few weeks what he said way back when is still in effect today.people are telling people what they should be doing and then themselves doing the direct opposite.GOD BLESS YOU ARCHIE! i know you were just a tv character but the writers of this show were brilliant!

I'm sure I saw every episode many times, before you were born.

The Archie character was a good guy, just not quite ready for the world around him, its not like he was a klansman or something.

If you were black would you be afraid to go to Staven ? I wouldn't, but I'd be cool about it, much like a cracker has to be aware of his environment when going to a primarily black area.

The most thought provoking episode to me was the one where Edith almost gets raped. It still sticks out in my mind to this day.

Let the Bunker school of thinking and all in the family go, it's old as dirt and has nothing to do with cutting edge televison and doesnt really hold anything with any degree of symbolism in this day and age.

Nobody gives a fuck about Archie and his cigars and his chair or how he bitch slapped his wife. If you think this is the ideal home, you have serious issues.

It was a very cutting edge show. Many topics were never on tv until All in the Family came along. AITF cound nover survive today with the PC crap. That rape episode was a very errie and powerful show.
