I actually found the whole sequence fascinating. Good example of democracy at work.

Carry on...

fascinated to find out speedo likes to abuse little boys?

Very similiar to what happened when a guy made a joke about world trade center bombings on our old Yahoo board Early Speed.

It didn't play, period.

And while I may think bartybet is the scum of the earth (I don't actually, but he does occasionally flame me in offshore), he had a point, stuck to it, and won his case.

Men diddling with little boys isn't all that funny a subject matter.

i think the mod posted i won my case......

ready to drop it now speedy.....

you are just not right here

there should'nt be any need to respond here......you are the only one now that still thinks it's funny

I had a similiar instance at MW where Patrick last year did a tagline on all his posts "show me on the doll where Peep touched you".

I found it much less than funny, out of bounds and personally offensive since I had three small children of my own whose safety I personally worried about. There was some history of same on my wife's side of the family to boot.

Patrick has since apologied, I have accepted, we are fine on it. But at the time it hurt, I felt it was wrong.

I obviously did not make my case as well as Bartybet did, I never did get the support over there he did here.

I am trying to respond as a "poster" rather than a mod in this instance.

Truth, is nothing to mod anyway, people have spoken.

Peep--point taken--it aint funny--BUT

At no time was nambla PROMOTED as being kosher...it was merely a metaphor to flame various reprobates who live down here!!!

I mean--I have seen every type of tasteless irreverent humour down here in the last several months and not once been offended by it--

If this crap was flying around on prime time tv i would say--whoa

But for shits sake --its the rr of a gambling forum--how the fvck can anyone get hurt--unless its one of the Clampetts

Yeah, to some extent it is "politically correct hits the RR" Early.

So it goes....

Its kinda like when Andy Kaufman did a devastating impression of Elvis in rehearsal on Sat nite live and John belushi(!) told him thats not funny??
Why??
Elvis was a sacred cow of belushis
he could not see the humour in it!!

Now we have Barty calling me a child abuser because nambla was used as a metaphor to put down some idiotic posters and i thought it was funny!!

We also must understand that there was no reference made to any abused child--(with the possible exception of Barty and Elmer)

So why, barty,if this offended, did you not say--"i was abused as a child and I find this offensive??"

Or more simply--why not just realize what it was--the rr--and move on???
