Not everything you hear and see is "correct". We are all humans, and by no defined order became who we are, as a living human, the possibility of being Male, female, white, black, indian, asian, is something that happened when we were born.
If a "black man" was grown up around "whites" and no inclination of racism was put upon him/her there would be no racism, and vice versa, we could be born blind, no hands, no feet, cannot hear, cannot see, cannot talk, and other "situation" you can think of. why be in this world for such a short period of time and be racist, why, in blacks and whites, there are good and bad people, why laugh at the way "whites" dance or not, or what they eat or how they talk, or why laugh about "blacks" in the way they talk or eat or do things, people eat ants, rats, cats, alligators, fish, rabbit, all types of different stuff that another may not like or thing nasty, let them be, we talk about people abusing dogs at dog fights, yet we "gamble" on the grey hounds and race horses, and wear leather shoes hats and bags, and then be part of PETA or some other group, we say Jews are the blesses and chosen, good for them, if you were brought up and your family, friends pound in you and your ears, you are successful, and from a line of success and would be successful, and likewise is told that you will suffer, is no good etc guess what happens 9 out of ten times, If you speak to 100 prisoners, you will understand these "could" be really, really good people, its all about where you live, born, friends, associates etc. I had no like for a ciggarette, but as a teenage, I was offered one while with friends that i grew up with, guess what I got hooked for years , in other words, live and let live, do you best to have your family live the best, but to blatantly say you are better than any other is not good, you never know what your situation could have been if you wore someone elses shoes, black, white, blue, green or other

Good post, probably best of thread. But it is long winded and boring, kind of like one of my posts, and not enough will read it all. Alot of guys here just like going back and forth with their 'enemy' and reconsidering their stance on issue is unthinkable!

not sure if the problem is racism or insecurity. When someone does not have the same view as another, then people have to start pointing the finger and claim racism, sexism, hate crime, etc.
If there are two people and one is offended by a comment and the other is not, does that mean the person who is not offended must be racist also? or is it just that person who is not offended has tougher skin than the person offended? You don't have to be offended to view something as racist. I'm not offended at all by his comments but his comments were incredibly racist. The NBA's view is all that really matters. And it looks like they are taking this very seriously.
