If they really do go through with it the big pph shops will have to leave costa rica, I mean does IDS even make 2% off their players losses? I doubt it.

NES,

Who is the second big PPH shop in Costa Rica?

My advice to you is to start drinking heavily.

Beteagle and Clickngamble but seems a lot of issues outta the later of the 2

Not that its important, but so many guys on this forum ask the question about what pph is good and what is pph bad, so my two cents (which is worthless, and im sure 55% will jump in here and say so...lol) goes like this.

BetEagle is massive and a study of what is right with PPH.

It seems they understood the fundamentals of the beast long before everyone else and they continue to deliver. I wish I considerd it 5 years ago, but im dumb...props. !~~~!

Abbythird we have our own in house software platform for horses, sports book, squares, office pools and poker. Everything is configurable by you, parlay payouts, teaser payouts, sports offered, juice, props, futures, there isn’t any possible bet type configuration that we cannot offer you. If there is something that we currently do not have that you would like to offer your clients give us an hour or 2 and you will have it. You tell us how you want it and we make it happen for you.

in fact most media is BS. Have u ever seen a story where u knew exactly what happened, but the media tells a whole other story. Its happened to me like 3 or 4 times. Here and there. These people really do just write shit to write it. Especially when there is nothing else to talk about. Even when there right. its never exactly right. there always a couple details or more off.

Panama charges $40,000 application* (every seven years) + $20,000 per year, 0% of revenue.

That pretty much limits what Costa Rica can charge. If they charge much more all they'll do is make operations here apply for a license in Panama. Operations could have both a CR and Panama license, and just book 99% of the revenue in Panama. Some operations may opt for just a PA license and hope they don't get nit-picky about CR-based personnel. Some operations may just pick up and move to avoid a CR tax audit. It wouldn't be hard for the CR government to progressively chase all the business south of the border. Even just forcing operations here to get a Panama license, those operations may then decide to only hire new personnel in Panama.

BTW, does the Panama license actually buy you anything? I mean can you go to a Panama bank with the license and get services, or is the license just a matter of "give us some money and fuck you anyway"?

* Master license application, sublicense will cost $20,000 per year and whatever the master licensee wants to charge you. I don't see the benefit of a sublicense ($40k for seven years comes to only $5700 per year) unless it's faster and easier to acquire. Anyone offering?

I have the feeling that its just something like 'we won't shut you down' thing. They don't really have much of a reputation as a gaming legislation but they are for sure not as tolerant with non-enforcing of their laws as we are here.

About master versus sub, if I recall correctly the deal here is that if you are a sub you have to use the same software platform of the master, in other words, you use your own stuff......you need a master.

Panama internet gaming License

Why Panama is the ideal i-gaming jurisdiction for the online gambling entrepreneur

The constitutional democratic republic of Panama, the most important financial center in Central America, has an impressive history of international banking and services jurisdiction. It has a fully regulated body of internet gaming laws of the highest standard, comparable to the gaming laws of the Isle of Man, which means that the Igaming entrepreneur can open a gambling website and continue to be on the right side of US law. With its absence of a military and central bank, free circulation of US capital, free use of the US dollar as legal tender and zero tax, Panama has been described as a 'virtual country' which makes it ideal for the online gambling industry. There are no double tax treaties that can be used for commercial activities and no VAT is levied on goods or services exported from the Republic of Panama. The gambling industry is furthermore subject to special tax exemptions on imported products for the gaming industry.

The gambling jurisdiction of Panama offers US standard infrastructure and necessary resources and at half the cost. Its location is conveniently close to several major US cities. Panama has access to multiple high-bandwidth continental fiber optic networks, in fact the best submarine fiber optic access of the region. The area is free from earthquakes, has no active volcanoes and is not subject to hurricanes. Panama boasts an 80% literacy rate and has a large supply of fully bilingual certified engineers. Panama is also a pollution-free and well forested area which, combined with low living costs, makes it a very pleasant place from where to run your online gambling business.
Panama Internet Gaming Licenses
All Internet Gaming Companies within or hosted in Panama have to be registered under the online gaming act of 12 November 2002. The regulation allows for online international wagering.
The telecommunications system can be provided through the most state of the art fibre-optic system in the region. Panama also boasts one of the largest banking and offshore jurisdictions in the world. The official currency is the US dollar.
Internet gaming companies domiciled in Panama enjoy complete tax exemptions. Customs duty concessions are given for imports needed to carry on Internet gaming. As long as the income made from Internet operations are to jurisdictions outside of Panama, there is no income tax, with holding tax, sales tax or VAT taxes. Offshore companies, such as on-line gaming companies are not subject to foreign exchange control. There is also a new call center incentive and training program that boast numerous qualified bilingual workers. Finally, under much limelight, there is a proposed law in the legislative assembly to make English the second official language, thus eliminating the need for translations for official documents and procedures.
Procedure of licensing and terms

1. The process of the application for the license usually takes from one to two months after providing all required documents.
2. To ensure that all Applicants have no criminal record and suitable references.
3. To designate qualified Applicants as to operating under the master license.
4. To ensure that all software and specific games of chance conform to the strict regulations of the Panama Internet Gaming License.
5. To collect all fees.
6. To monitor game payouts and to make certain they are within acceptable worldwide standards.
7. To make certain that a complete record of all transactions are available for inspection by designated officials of the Government or the License holder at any time.
8. Compliance with national and international money laundering regulations.
You must also consider your development needs, software, billing, dedicated servers and travel if necessary.

Panama is one of the few countries that I would follow this industry to if Costa Rica ran all the books off.
