watching the game felt like I was back at school with those retros. Loved them. If it were up to me they would wear those every game for the rest of the year.

I am not a real fan of the many uni's that the ducks sport but I can explain the thought behind what they are doing.

There is no real tradition at Oregon like Texas, USC, Tenn, etc have, so the ducks have decided to make being progressive their thing. I laughed when Belloti insisted that the uni's helped recruiting but damn if he wasn't right. Many recruits mention the unis as one of the reason they come to Oregon.

Oregon has been recruiting nationally in the past few years and they have been getting better and better at securing some big names. Anything that increases exposure is seen as a good thing at the AD. (Blount notwithstanding)

They will fall back to earth the next couple weeks. Oregon is not a good team this season. Trust me on this. Yesterday was a fluke. When you have no tradition and have never won anything you resort to gimmicks. When they win their first national title I will give them a small measure of respect. I only plan on living another 30 years so I guess I won't be discussing this subject again.

I'm not sure if anyone in this forum is sitting on pins and needles waiting for your respect on anything.

Red Eye - Oregon and Oregon State aren't even in the top 75 college in any report I've seen. It's a nice place to visit and live but please don't patronize any of us.

Most of the people in the south are clueless outside of the south so lets leave it at that !

Red Eye,

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the previous poster regarding Oregon & Oregon State academically. They are basically average state schools at best.

In the Pac 10, they are no better than 6th and 7th academcially.
