Hot tubs

Looking at getting one..looks like a pain in the ass mostly and it's a lot of chemicals to soak in IMO.
Anyone have insight in to actually dealing with a hot tub? it's looking like it might be more work than I'm into.

Yeah thanks Conley ... I've been deep diving a bunch of options, checking out on demand portable propane tanks (350 bucks) thinking about doing two clawfoot tubs (100 bucks each) with plumbing that drains to the forest on our property..Full on Cialis commercial style. Or a salt water type tub but it's also a chemical pain In the ass. Man.. hot tubs are ugly for the most part.

If your looking for a self contained acrylic spa there’s a million options sizes and so on. Hydro spas puts out a decent product however if you go with ozone generators and other alternatives to chlorine/bromine products in the long run your dealing with more shit that can go wrong .if your burying this thing in a deck make sure you got access to panels. Get something simple no radio or sound system built into it tossing money out . Stick to bromine floater and use activate spashock. Any questions hit me up typically I only build gunite tubs and pools yet been servicing all forms of pools and spas for 25 years

Awesome ..I'd love to do in ground but the footprint and mess would be pretty adverse to where I'm putting this..It's wooded and away from our house, lots of trees and i sorta want to keep it a little wild I.I'm looking at building a wood fired unit as well.. with a snorkel type heater ..have any experience with those?

So many options.. I do like the idea of draining something walking away and refilling when I want to use them but that limits the options.

I like these units it's just a propane tank and pressurized water source witch I could plumb myself..No electrical or heaters that need to be checked or powered.

Yeah... I'm seriously thinking 2 tubs side by side style for me and the lady.
Found two almost six clawfoot tubs online but I'd need to refinish them witch isn't hard plus the dude will deliver them.

It's becoming a boner meds commercial around here.

One of my customers who I built a pool for years ago spent 450 bucks on an inflatable hot tub I will get the brand .saw it couple days ago was legit had it up to 100 within an hour runs on 110 think this is a good no brainer option. He bought it after his friend has had one for a year .for 450 and comes with electric heater attached total no brainer even if it craps out in a year or two buy another cheaper then service repair .

Food for thought you want to put this close to your bedroom or deck. Unless your completely wasted you sure as shit don’t want to be trekking through the snow going through brush to get in or out of the tub unless your married to grizzly Adams.

Doing a remodel starting in late November and looking at Ofuros Tubs..
Yeah still contemplating the hot tub VS 2 tub clawfoot thing..the settings only about 20 feet from the house and I cut and cleared a trail yesterday just to think on it a bit more.
Been checking out these guys if I do the tub idea...I like the black finish..I think I could get the whole system going for around 1800.00 plumbing site prep and all.

One of my buddies went through two of those over 4 or 5 years..not bad.
He finally stepped up to a round Redwood model and loves sitting in it but hates maintaining it.

Here it would need to be on always...warmest day so far this year has been maybe 80 and it was for only two days..
Part of the reason I'm pushing to get this done before the colder weather shows up..warm water sounds good when it's 50 degrees for months on end.

always? then start budgeting for a siezable increased monthy electrical bill- look into higher end $ projected numbers so as to not be too surprised (if its an issue/concern) I've got an inground pool, with a hot tub at one end that flows into , not overly large at all. had a few months over the yrs that i had to give that fuckin' electrical bill a second look....

i wouldnt cut corners on the heater, imo

I just think it will be a bitch to fix if there are any issues. The tub...not the wife.
