Mostly over my head, but DWL & B. Baffert seem to have treated me the best.

A list of all-time top trainers can not be complete without The Giant Killer, Allen Jerkins.

If I had to go top 5:
1. Woody Stephens
2. Allen Jerkins
3. Laz Barerra
4. Charlie Whittingham
5. Bobby Frankel

ted, a.t. tommy doyle trained avatar (1975 belmont winner), ski goggle, annes pretender, and a whole barn full of stakes horses.

king leatherbury was a maryland trainer that for a while was winning like 5 a day and breaking every record.

marion van berg was the father of jack van berg and the old timers use to always tell me he was the all time best.

Baffert back at Derby with another favorite
AP | Posted: Saturday, May 5, 2018 12:00 am
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Bob Baffert is back at the Kentucky Derby with early favorite Justify after watching the race from his sofa in Southern California last year.
The Hall of Fame trainer’s ability to produce Derby contenders year after year is an enviable feat and why his absence a year ago stood out. It was just his second since 2009 and occurred because his lone candidate got hurt.

my good friend who did a horse racing radio show believes
baffert is the best "dirt" trainer ever. in fairness, this guy
gets a lot of well bred horses and he does find/make a few
into superstars. FYI the baffert stable is unusually high
on justify's chances today.
