If you followed my last thread you know I was on KR thru the first year of the pandemic, KR popped this week and I sold out.

This was a good day, once again the small investor was crushed (same small investors who put the Dems in charge) cheersgif ..... as wall street changed the rules midstream to stop the bleeding of monies by the investment brokers and hedge funds who had to shell out .... we are headed for a correction, after the next stimulus check.

I rode Verizon stock for 20 plus years , my go to when the market pullsed back, now its just fuled by cheep money .. its no longer fits with my investing strategy.. time to go back to well capitalized companies with low debt . I buy and sell , I don't hold stock... I am a trader not an investor.

After the next stimulus things are going to get bad for the poor, their options are going to be very limited.
Hormel Foods last posted its quarterly earnings data on November 23rd, 2020. The reported $0.43 EPS for the quarter, missing the consensus estimate of $0.44 by $0.01. The firm had revenue of $2.42 billion for the quarter, compared to analyst estimates of $2.60 billion. Hormel Foods has generated $1.66 earnings per share over the last year and currently has a price-to-earnings ratio of 28.7.

Ill start to buy this stock in the 46 range.

HRL also stands out because the Hormel Foundation — a charitable organization — owns about half of the company. This protects it from activists and folks who might want to disrupt the company in the future. The foundation even pushes for higher dividends every year and makes sure it’s a management priority.

I have always been a fan of utilities and water utilities ae gold, I have been trading this stock for the past 3 years when AWK just got too expensive. Water is the new gold, Shares of Algonquin Power last possessed a solid price-to-earnings ratio of 20 and a price-to-book value of 2.2. I have a price target of 19 dollars for this stock. Here is a little history.. American Water Works (NYSE:AWK) agrees to sell its regulated New York operations to Algonquin Power's (NYSE:AQN) regulated Liberty Utilities business for $608M. AWK's New York American Water serves 125K customer connections across seven counties in southeastern New York; its operations include 1,270 miles of water mains and distribution lines with 98% of customers in Nassau County on Long Island.

Visa prepares for crypto future

In an earnings call with analysts, Kelly says the company will treat the crytocurrency market as two distinct segments: traditional cryptocurrencies, such as bitcoin and Ether; and fiat-backed digital currencies including stablecoins and central bank digital currencies.

"In this space, we see ways that we can add differentiated value to the ecosystem. And we believe that we are uniquely positioned to help make cryptocurrencies more safe, useful, and applicable for payments through our global presence, our partnership approach, and our trusted brand," Kelly told analysts.

For the first segment, Visa will work with "wallets and exchanges to enable users to purchase these currencies using their Visa credentials or to cash out onto a Visa credential to make a fiat purchase at any of the 70 million merchants where Visa’s accepted globally".

This is similar to card scheme's to connect with closed loop wallets such as Line Pay and Paytm

Visa has already struck card deals with some 35 organisations in the crypto-markets, such as BitPanda and BlockFi. According to Kelly, these wallet relationships “represent the potential for more than 50 million Visa credentials.”

AQN is headquatered near my neck of the woods. Quite a few Canadian Renewable Energy companies have gone nutso since the Biden win (including getting another boost when the senate went blue). AQN, as you know is not a pure renewable play but it does have its hands in with over 30 renewable energy facilities . Actually it has recently set aside $9 billion to increase its renewable energy portfolio ...AND it yields 3.5%

Hormel Stock Climbs on Possible Planters Acquisition

Hormel Foods stock is up nearly 5% following a report that the company is nearing a deal to buy the Planters snack brand from Kraft Heinz. A deal would mark part of a continuing pattern of asset sales at the firm, as well as more jostling for position among packaged-food makers.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Hormel Foods (ticker: HRL) is closing in on an agreement to buy the maker of nuts and mixes from Kraft Heinz (KHC) in a deal that values the brand at roughly $3 billion, according to people close to the situation. Both companies declined to comment, saying it is their practice not to comment on rumors or speculation.

No I'm putting money into every ark funds also and and selling out all as many of my other positions as fast as possible, Cathie Wood is 1000 times smarter then I am , why do the work when she is so ahead of the curve and better informed , if there is a crash, she will know when to sell better then I do. Ill still buy AQN on the big dips as i think this is a very under valued stock, and maybe some LKNCY as it think it becomes the starbucks of china but its risky.

HRL has been cashing for me, day trading and stocking up around dividend time. Baba was big loser for me, but I leaned my lesson.

But what I really have my eye on right now is a Bonds market crash and arbitrage. With stocks so high and basically I make my money from say day trading and dividends I'm for my list of stocks on going to jump on when the crash hits, Telecom was my cash cow from 95-2015 when I had my Verizon thread. Now I like food produces , Utilities and Technology and fintech.

I'm very very interested in vertical gardening , as quick way to reach economy of scale.

I going to put 10% in cryptocurrency this week , I feel there is value right now.

2019 and 2020 I was in the Green. I have sort of taken 2021 off and think 2022 will be a Cash Cow.
