LOL you're a funny guy and I agree with you on lots of things. The teachable moments angle is a stretch though. Kids are practically raised by the media these days with both mommy and daddy working in most households. A few suggestions from mom or dad are unfortunately drowned out by the relentless liberal agenda. So I repeat, it's great if the womens' soccer team does well, but they are not good role models.
Thought you'd be more "down" with the fact that Hope Solo's choice to take the low road with her comments presented an amazing Teachable Moment for parents of young female athletes. And even Male ones. Would have been for me, were my kids still young.

While I would agree things are over the top in today's world from a PC perspective, however, it seems this has become on overused phrase whenever there is any repercussion to anything anyone does or says. It was poor sportsmanship, classless and a deflection from her own performance, which was poor. She didn't play well, was soundly outplayed by her counterpart and choose to deflect blame from herself and her team by crying about their opponents style of play all the while questioning their character. Talk about the pot calling the kettle...
I certainly wouldn't condone that type of selfish blame game from one of my players, especially at an Olympic event, which is "supposed" to be about the highest levels of competition and sportsmanship.

There is so much incredible young talent coming up. Whats certain, IMO, is that the greatest possibility of Outcome at this point, as result of this is that Hope is done and Team USA does Move On. In Goal.
Surprising that why I mostly believe that though is not due to The Team consciously being in a place of being done with her but due to
