Good morning,
I have been reading the various fade threads in the Rubber Room for awhile now. Everyone's thinking is intelligent in this forum. I am a fader as well; I stopped capping games back in '01-'02. When I dove into the world of fading I did it blindly. While it paid better than capping my own games, it still was a rollercoaster. Some weeks were better than others but I was fading too many games. Fast forward a few years and Brandon Lang enters our world. His fake story was bankrolled by Budin and Bodog. Bodog advertised on his site back in the day and they also hosted his movie release party. We all know why a sportsbook would be involved with a handicapper. I have been fading Lang ever since he took the collar on the night his movie was released. I believe he went 0-4 or 0-6. The purpose of my post is not to pass judgement on Lang or Budin. People have to make a living and I do not care if someone scams online or works 9-5, whatever. Lately I have been researching and data mining ways to increase my investment portfolio. I am not an action junkie. The thoughts of playing 5 games or so per night does not appeal to me at all. With that being said, I took the comp plays of these handicappers...
Hondo
Mighty Quinn
Cokin
Feist
Wiz
I added 2 filters to their picks and since April 1 the fade record is 8-2 (+6.40 units). If you are a nickel or dime player and have patience then +6.40 units in 20 days is not a bad investment especially when the picks are free. Patience is the key though because this fade filter will not produce picks every night which is great for me because I have a young family, a job, t-ball games and soccer games to attend and a lawn that needs mowed every week, etc. I prefer to strike heavy once in awhile rather than play a bunch of garbage daily.
In 20 days..
Wiz had 2 fade picks (2-0 for +2.00 units)
Hondo had 4 (2-2 for +0.10 units)
Feist had 0 (0-0)
Cokin had 1 (1-0 for +1.00 units)
Quinn had 3 (3-0 for +3.30 units)
I will run the filters now for Sunday and post by 11:50 AM Eastern.
