hno:really not sure what you watched if you don't think they should have covered? 3 pt shooting, and free throw shooting are things you are supposed to cap. think about it. if griffin is their best player, shoots 50% from the line, and goes to the line 10-12 times that will give you a lot of empty possessions. in a spread where you are catching +9 getting that many possessions in your favor is putting you ahead of the game. i would take a tim floyed team +9 all day, everyday
plus USC matches up with Oklahoma just as good, if not better than any other team in the country. Griffin didn't go as wild as he has been cause he was up against a strong front court. Taj Gibson is as physical as anyone. The Trojan front court was def able to neutralize Griffin, while Hackett is superior to any of OU's guards
first thing that I noticed as a crucial for the game result was the last ball posesion for ou at the end of a 1st half... being up 9 and fired a shitty 3ptr with 10 second remaining, well you must be stupid to turn a ball to opponent for a last shot... so instead for taking a shot with last second and go up 11 or maintain 9, they made a foul and were up only 7... and second thing after that flagrant faul by that jerk washington... griffin missed both fts.. and then the game went other way.., they missed a lot fts while usc didn't miss... they couldn't hit a 3ptr... nothing... usc hit some nice shots and stay close... closer then they should... they gave a lot of free balls to sooners, and they didn't use them good... they were in a rush for no reason...
