yes and that is why bj couldnt do anything his legs kept sliding right down his back instead of getting grip to maneuver his way out or put him in a triangle choke...cause st pierre knew if he got caught in bj's triangle it was over...big big advantage there...st pierre had 21 pounds on him thats why he layed on top of him and he knew if he was slippery enough bj couldnt get out using his very limber legs...thats bj's whole game is his flexibility of his legs...and st pierre took that away with vasoline
I don't know how the UFC discussion got here, but IIRC BJ was very close to getting Georges in a triangle early and Georges was able to slip out the back door. Hard to say if the Vaseline had anything to do with it, but that could have been the match right there if he didn't slip out. That being said Georges was clearly the better fighter.
