A little constructive advise that you wont take and will probably totally ignore....
1. But to make a parlay wager on games that do run at the same time is idiotic, unless you are trying to lock in a favorable line on the late game. You simply take the winnings from the early 2 team parlay and bet the last game straight for however much you want.
Which leads to....
2. NEVER EVER EVER PLAN TO HEDGE A PARLAY BEFORE YOU EVEN BET IT. Literally maybe the dumbest thing you can do. You said it yourself, the parlay already paid you less than it should have. Now - you are going to pay vig both ways by betting the opposite team in the last game - essentially giving the book MORE MONEY for doing nothing. Why would you do this?
In your case, you would simply bet the 2 team parlay for 1k. If it won, then you would take the 2k you wanted to "hedge" out of your winnings, and bet the remainder on the late game. You end up with MORE MONEY FOR THE SAME EXACT BET.
Please google a thread at blankets I started called "to hedge or not to hedge, why hedging is a bad idea". It is hundreds of posts, but you will get the idea quickly.
Essentially - here is a golden rule of parlays: IF YOU ARE IN A POSITION TO HEDGE, YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE A MISTAKE. That means that you have added a game to a parlay that didnt run at the same time as your other games - and have already made a fundamental error that "hedging" only makes worse.
GL to you.
