MattyMatty trains MMA regularly and he said he would lose to Rhonda, but you think the avg bro would just handle her?

Things like skull density, muscle mass, etc are real but it's just not gonna matter when you are talking the best female vs your average dude. Do you realize how much technical training goes into judo? When you've been a prodigy at that all your life, you just have so many ways to beat someone. They would just get caught in a submission. 99.9% of the population knows 0 about technical fighting.

The skill gap is just a lot bigger than you're thinking.

Everyone has a plan until punched in the nose Pats. An athletic man would knock her out.

This is absurd and you know it. A 100 lb guy who doesn't work out can't even lift his own body weight in ANY exercise, much less fight. those are the guys that don't want to fight or scream Uncle once hit one, even less slapped...

We start a lot of newcomers in the gym with girls, and most don't come back after the first workout...

Honestly Matt I'm confused.

I'm in excellent shape as well.

Always been involved in sports.

Don't let this ridiculous screen name fool you cauz I assure you you're picturing the wrong guy.

Maybe I'm a little overconfident in speaking for most guys because I'm sure about myself.

But what baffles me is anyone denying that a man is naturally stronger than most women, and not by just a little.

This might sound horrible but I've seen rail thin guys just manhandle VERY big ( I mean big!) black females as if it were nothing & throw them around like they are rag dolls.

I'm looking past the "skill" any female athlete has because my point is, eventually the guy is going to land a punch that will put her lights out, or get his hands on the girl, and his hand around her throat (If it were a real fight) and cmon we all know it's nighty-night time.

Not arguing with ya just telling you what I truly believe and I'm not alone...

No way. You're underestimating the difference in strength between a man and woman. It's an astronomical difference. I'd say she gets knocked out or choked out 75% of the time. The other 25% are guys like AK.

I'll Take skill and mental toughness over strength anyday. Granted, a well coached fighter works to achieve all 3, but the skill and mental aspect of fighting are far the most important.

If you train in MMA MattyMatt, I'd put my entire paycheck on the fact a woman would not last one round with you.

yep. I think I could beat Ronda in stand up only, but her technique is way better than mine on the ground. I advise anyone who's too worried to tarnish their bad boy image to never walk into an MMA gym and ask to roll with a well-trained female because you will get submitted. I have no shame in my game. I got submitted a lot by a 110 lb. woman years ago when I first started. She was a well-trained black belt. I was the average guy off the street who thought I was pretty tough because I lifted weights often and pounded guys in street fights...Live and learn.

The calculus on this is pretty simple

Avg bro <<<<<<< Ronda <<<<<<< Pro Boxer

Ronda would kill your average male. MattyMatty will agree with that.

It's just not even in the same ballpark for technical skill. Also Ronda isn't 135 pounds.

Lol ok, but it's not that simple. She might beat some men yes maybe even 40%, but most no? Most men still have fighting instincts testosterone and strength. Funny how everyone's changing their tune on her beating Mayweather in an MMA (not boxing) match now. Might have to bump some old threads to see who the Rousey beating Mayweather peeps are.

According to this search I did she's 135lbs it could be wrong though I guess.

I'd take Andy Kaufman over Ronda in a close fight. And he'd probably get beat by your average male.

No way. First off, she couldn't get most guys on the ground.

But let me clarify, I'm not talking some slob of a guy off the bar stool. I'm talking an in shape athletic male of roughly the same age.

She fights at 135 pounds, but her walking around weight is closer to 160.

I don't know who "everyone" is but I'd never say she could beat Floyd Mayweather. Floyd Mayweather is the best P4P boxer in the world. That is a little different than a random guy.

The difference between Floyd Mayweather and what we're talking about are two entirely different conversations.

I've played basketball (street & organized) against collegiate females as well so I know how this works.

If you play them too tight, steal the ball, slap their sh!t, or break their ankles going around them, you get that funny look by others as if you're "Doing that to a girl" and being too tough on them.

If you are too easy on them & they score on you, you get laughed at if they showed you up.

It's a no-win situation.

If you train regularly there is no doubt in my mind no female, even MMA, could last 30 seconds with you in the ring.

Cmon Matt you're being too nice of a guy here...

I hear ya. I'm just saying that elbow ronda ate last night, and the head kick that finally KO'd would put almost anyone on the ground, man or woman. I hope you can agree to that. But, I'm sorry, I can't agree that a 100 lb guy who has toothpick arms and a bird chest is stronger that a 135-150 lbs woman who benches 225 (hate bench as a term off strength, just saying) and squats over 300. I have a 100 lb friend. He struggles with 65 lbs and 95lbs on squat. Testoterone > estrogen for sure, but that only goes so far...

Well everyone else has said average joe, even a 100 lb bean pole. Also, I said "roll", you start on your knees.

People just underestimate the skill aspect.

There are all kinds of ways to gain leverage in judo, muay thai, wrestling that the average person just has no clue about. Even Matt who trains regularly admits he would be at a major disavantage vs Ronda in grappling and this guy would probably kill 95% of guys, think about that.

This is actually also the reason a shitty MMA fighter could kick the ass of the biggest, toughest guys who aren't skilled in any fighting disciplines.

And you're underestimating the strength thing IMO. Strength, size, pain tolerance, speed.

I don't like Rhonda or womens MMA much either really. Think as she fades so will the novelty of that whole thing.

UFC just needed a star badly with Lesnar/Silva/GSP gone and shot her to the moon. Good looking, well spoken, badass fighter. It was the smart move, right place, right time but I don't see this continuing to be a big deal.

I guess I'm just a pussy then because I cannot manhandle every woman in my gym on the ground. I'm talking submission grappling here. these girls have long legs, and great technique. they will let you pull guard to get into a triangle, where sometimes you will get out, and other times you get subbed. What was accomplished? I learned something, and I come back the next day for more...

I mean any decent male MMA fighter would kill her, but you guys are talking some dude who is a weekend warrior balling at the YMCA. It is just a bit different.

It's crazy how big the gap is with stuff like this sometimes. Some people think she could beat Mayweather, others don't think she could beat JustinCruise.

Hey I thought we were talking fighting here & now we're getting off topic talking about your personal life in the bedroom...
