any opinion? Hofstra won at Marist, tough place to play. They have played a tough schedule and whould be all pumped up for the JOhnies. Johnies are awful and there best player is out. With out shaw I can't see STJ scoring 60 pts. They are that bad on offense. Can't hofstra stay within the number, if not win?
it's late now, but I did take them --reason is Hofstra is not that bad and should be a better team in their Conf. The Johnies may be the worse team in the big east and would be an underdog at Marist. I really don't think Vegas has caught up with them yet. Hofstra has really imporved over the last couple years.
The johnies are just an awful team. They have a decent young backcourt, but nothing down low and are a poor shooting team. I really think the johnies need to be looked at as a go against until the lines show they are a bad team. Pitt, Uconn, should win by 20. This will be Jarvis's last year. Unless he pulls off his usual late season heriocs. Duke is going to smack this team by 40
Jarvis should be fired now. He has driven a once proud St Johns program into the ground. The top NY players don't even look at St Johns any longer. St Johns screwed up hiring Jarvis as they should have hired Jay Wright at the time. If they don't hire Bobby Gonzalez this time, the AD should be fired as well. Jarvis won the 1st 2 years at ST Johns with Fran Frachilla's recruits. His players do not improve. Willie Shaw, Kyle Cuffe, etc were better as freshmen than they are as seniors. Go against the Johniees early and often. They are horrible.
