Hi I have been parlaying top 2 teams am ahead about 10 units ytd. Got lucky Sat night det big fav and pitt and nash about even so I split bet 1/2 unit each and broke even. dont understand tor/itt ln. am suposed to bet bost and somebody sund but will probably pass as I need 175 mininmum. will probably wait for tuesday as that is last game until friday. everybody plays. take a look at o.u there are 1/2 dozen rteams have 10 game differances 20-10 10-20 etc. may be a better place to play. mego and i went to caps thursd line was 6 and we got lucky and pushed o/u seems like penalties make the diff on o/u. got totell ya caps are fun to go to place rocks and they just want to shoot. i didnt see game sat but 47 shots unreal best of luck heart222
dude...I have to read your posts about three times to understand it all. It's like the cryptic puzzles in the Sunday paper. I feel like I really accomplished something when I get the whole message figured out. ;-)
Like I said in the beginning of my HNIC post, I got a friend who's doing the same thing as you. I jumped on the band wagon last night and put the kibosh on it with Toronto thumping at Pittsburgh. However I put another twist on the theory and will couple the big favorite with a dog at +1.5. For example I took Nashville -215 and Chicago +1.5 at -260. It bailed me out on the Detroit/Pittsburgh parlay. I laid off on San Jose. I had a bad feeling about that game, considering them coming home, playing a quality team, etc. However, the price the linesmakers put on it should have been a red flag for me to play the Sharks. They were begging for players to play New York.
Agree with you that today is a day to take off with the favorite parlay but I'm looking closely at a +1.5 two teamer with Philly and Carolina.
I also agree that the totals have been the way to go and I've been on them more than any other season.
Glad to hear you guys are going to the Caps games. Even watching them 3000 miles away on a television conveys the excitement that place creates. Without question one of the most exciting teams around when they have their full compliment of players suited up.

Appreciate you guys with the advice of taking time off. I'm not new to this game or losing streaks and despite the sound of my posts here, not on tilt. I back off on my unit sizes when I go through a tough stretch but rarely, if ever, do I take a day off.
Despite my record on HNIC I'm doing OK. I expect to win every year and haven't been this year for the first time in a long time. I'm not used to losing wagering on hockey and I need to vent. This thread helps in that exercise.
But I stick to my guns and I have complete faith that come June I'll show a profit. No doubt about it.
