1: sportsbooks are here for two reasons, availability of cheap/bilingual labor
2: goverment tolerates them here (both the company itself and the foreign bosses that stay here as eternal tourists........)
Lets not waste our time whining 'x is too low' , if they offer it and they get the position filled well......its NOT too low, market dictates how much is 'too low' etc
If you want a raise and dont get it you have several options
a) whine
b) move on to a different company or different industry
c) say 'I have stayed enough as clerk' and try to find a better position in the company or elsewhere such as manager, etc
Sportsbooks owners are certainly not going to suddenly start raising wages because people complain in a forum while they get HUNDREDS of resumes whenever an opening is advertised
