a tournament played on the same course since its inception. a unique links style chance at golf in the us. caught a great deal of criticim at first from some of the playes by use of the railroad ties and the severe pot bunkers. toned down a bit over the years but still a great test and one of my favorite pete dye courses. course has smallest grenns on tour and that greens in regulation stat is the one most important here.
see one match up i like already for several reasons
1. sluman over hoch +07 1 unit at pinnacle
i still dont think hochs wrist is 100 percent and his performance at the masters last week showed him only hiiting.39 percent of the greenss for two rounds. in best form hoch ranks well down in the gir stat and these small greens will put added presuure on his short game.that being said his record here is pretty good
sluman on the other hand ranks well above hoch in greens in reg and hit a very good 64 percent of the greens at august last week while playing all four rounds his record also has 2 top 10 in last 4 years here
i think sluman should be favored here and will gladly take the +07
