i don't think I ever bought cold cuts or meat at a supermarket in my life. Shit I fucking go to one guy for salami , mortadella , hot capicola and pecorino. The other guy has the best turkey and the nice imported provolone. The butcher is better with a knife than a drunk Puerto Rican . He grinds the park and beef together for my wife's gravy and meatballs. Top quality meat makes her gravy so good you can eat it like a soup with no linguine or no gemmeli necessary , though recommended. 5 minutes from everywhere.

Miami is the only place i've ever been honked at for not running a red light. And not like the light was changing. Full on stopped and waiting for it to turn green.
It's also the only place i've seen people continue to turn left and block an entire intersection and not give a muff that the light was red.

Yeah that pisses me off so much one time I jumped out to yell at a big truck "wtf as#%le GO!! FFS!!" got all the way up to almost his driver's side window where I could begin yelling when I noticed a little white car in front of him, obscured from my view while I was sitting behind the big truck. This was embarrassing. So much in fact that it failed to occur to me to yell at the white car until I was nearly back to my own car and when I turned around to do that, head back up to yell at the white car the white car finally went and so did the truck but me in the time it took me to get back in my car caused me to get stuck at the light.
This incident has led me to suspect that its not worth it to get mad about such things but....I am not for sure on that though.

when i want the Real deal i go to the best for Florida, laurenzo's in North Miami. and back in NY we have a few places.
as for meat for the gravy, we go to the butcher too. if we want sausage for a sunday sauce I have a friend that owns a place where they make it fresh.

Down here we don't do as much cooking. a friend of ours that owned some great Italian restaurants back in NY, owned a new place down here. Fuking place is perfect !
