damn, i wish the little studies i've done in the past paid that much.
I use to do some at KFC headquarters here in town , i think it was before they were part of the Yum Brands though. Anyway you got paid to eat different kinds of ideas for food, but you only got like 10-15 bucks.
And i've done others in the past and they all were pretty much in the 20 dollar range.

I used to do these about 15 years ago. A company called Peryam and Kroll was right down the street from my house and you get your name on their call list and they will call you from time to time to pitch a taste test for you. You would usually taste a new flavor of soda or a new burger at one of the fast food eateries and stuff like that. You were only able to do a survey like once every three weeks or so. So when they called you and if it wasn't a profitable taste test you would be better off declining and wait for one that pays well.

I was like 18 or 19 at the time so the extra $50 - $100 I got came in real handy. My mom and sister even did these taste tests too so as a family we were able to pull in some nice little spending cash when times were tough.

I would like to start doing these taste tests again because it would be nice to get that extra money flowing again.

Ok...so a friend got me into this. I work as an insurance underwriter as a day job but a buddy got me into doing focus groups, product testing for companies that are coming out with new products etc. Google focus groups in your area or search craigslist under ETC, Volunteers sections. Here are some that I have done in the last 3 months making almost 4 grans

new gillete razor-1 hour- 80 bucks
dog food shopping experience- 125 bucks
yahoo football game- 100 bucks
infant crying for dads(I lied) I dont have kids at Harvard U- 75 bucks
TD Banknorth changing its name to TD Bank, watched a bunch of new commercials, told em which ones I liked-100 bucks
fridays new frozen food sliders- 60 bucks to eat them
dunkin donuts bagels- 100 bucks
athletic shoes- 80 bucks

you can find a recruiter and there are tones of sites to sign up at and get into their databases...so easy...cash under the table

i do this shit also.....local colleges have a boatload...medical stuff usually pays the most but is the biggest headache. i use to like an atm...whenever i need a tank of gas or a few bucks ill do a few things at the local college

I used to do one every 6 months. The best is when they overbook a study(which they always do)& cut you loose with pay.

Best focus group was a two day (4hour) study on music. It paid $260.All you had to do was listen to a song for 5-6 seconds & rate it on a scale.

Also did beer & vodka surveys too. They didn't pay that much though.

ive had some folks PM me so ill post the survey site i use...

https://www.surveysavvy.com?id=3952359&action=join REFERRAL # 3952359

this is the only legit site for cash payments from surveys...i use some other ones that pay in points ( gift certs). ive gotten paid from the above link. not a fortune by any means but a couple bucks here and there. the amount of surveys (which equals your money) will depend on the demographics they are looking for. its literally ZERO work and its cash so why not is what i say

tanner: pinecone research.com as well is legit, they pay 3 dollars through paypal for each survey but I only get like 2 a week, but there is no sign up at their site because they are so legit and get flooded. You will have to find a backdoor though google somewhere to get into their database

Thanks for the info guys. The first day I tried etc at craigslist I found a survey Dartmouth college was doing. It paid 45 dollars, took about an hour.
FYI I used surf canyon with firefox and found a website right away to signup for pinecone so well see how that works, thanks! If anyone needs that site just pm me.

just for a quick background, im an ethnographer. i work for a large company. a company of which many of you may own product or two. when it comes to focus groups/one on one interviews im the guy that conducts them. i know that many people lie to make the extra cash, which is fine by me, but that is why i am very selective with my choices regarding candidates. i like to make sure my research is accurate as my job depends on it. other companies/independent brokers arnt as selective. if anyone is in southern california i know a couple places that all you have to do is fill out a interest card, get in good with one of the reps, and bingo! at least one group/interview a week. they run 1-2 hours and pay 50-125$$$. just know the general knowledge of the product/service they are interviewing for and you will always get called to do more. if you go in cold and try to bullshit (like you lie and say you own a motorcycle but have no idea what they are talking about) you will most likely never get called to do one again.

i usually do demographic specific interviews but the next time i do a broad spectrum of people, RXers will be the first to know. :103631605 just make sure you really own the product (in my case. otherwise by all means bulshit and make that $$$)

So do you start getting junk mail from these places every time you sign up and/or participate in them?

I'm not talking junk email, I mean your physical or P.O. box....
