That's odd. I bought 5 stocks online the last 3 days.
Is it because you don't have a trading account?

I'm not sure why. AFAIK I don't have a trading account, but have been able to buys GIC's through online banking before.
Maybe a glitch in the system or they want people to speak to a rep, as it was not allowing me to click on the choice
of adding to an existing TFSA (vs opening a new TFSA) account. Maybe i should have tried the former & seen what
happened, but it didn't occur to me at the time.
