This has to be Woodstock! The amount of smoke and high is a hippie fest. I just don’t see it. Who can explain Round 1? The over 4.5 QB prop I struggle to see it.
What does Hooker do? Forget the ACL he is fine imo. But that offense is trash comp stuff. 25 and couldn’t beat out two bums at VT. Pocket vertical lob ball offense in UT. I’ve been burned in years past on Baylor guys QB WR RB. Not a single one panned out. I don’t think Hooker is horrible but first round is a joke imo. 5th year options or not.
Is throwing outside the pocket important in the NFL? Hooker is god awful on the move. Outside the pocket is horrible. Don’t see the creativity in throws or arm angles to make a difference. Needs more creativity.
How does he process a more complicated passing tree? Has little exposure to much. Just seems like more a back up quality guy with potential to fill in be a Journey man starter.
Levis isn’t great outside the pocket either. But Hooker has way better options and more friendly offense.
The UT offense is a major concern for someone who is 25 on his like 6th cfb season. Lack of ability outside the pocket, accuracy and just seems panicked too much on the move and runs. Don’t get me wrong he spins a good ball. Has some traits. But too steep a gamble for round 1.
Have a hard time seeing Round 1 despite all this smitten NFL Scout talk and suddenly media loves him. If Desmond Ridder was at Tennessee last year what’s the difference?
Hooker selling RD 1.
