some years ago, we use to download all the files by querying gopher sites, then it came the ftps and ircs solutions nowadays you can still using irc, but the problem with irc is the bandwith since most of the users can afford a maximum of 128 or 256k at the most...

then try efnet or undernet networks..
another easy solution nowadays for p2p networks is to use the filedonkey network
www.filedonkey.com over there you can find everything and believe i got surprised when i queried this metal group Death, and i found their whole collection.. anyways in order to use filedonkey network you have to download a 32bit client in www.overnet.com
then configure it. and ready to go...
it's simple and easy, the only thing is as the more upstream you share more downstream you'll get,, and!! the is no popups or spyware programs include in that application...

hey wil, im kinda tired right now as the sun is starting to rise and i need some sleep, so im not going into too much detail here, but there are many great hubs involved with direct connect plus plus (DC++) network,

it might seem overwhelming at first but spend some time with it and in no time you will get the hang of it. the hubs do have some minimum share requirements so i hope you have some good stuff on your pc already. generally i use it to get all the sopranos and 24 episodes, an occasional video game and tons of movies.
i have about 400 movies on my computer right now so if their is anything special you would like, you can download it from me until you get the hang of it.
