Frontier announces Costa Rica flight plan

Frontier Airlines will begin flying from Denver to San Jose, Costa Rica Nov. 30, the carrier announced today.

Frontier said its introductory fares start at $298 roundtrip.

The carrier will fly to Costa Rica on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays. Denver-based Frontier is the only airline to fly direct between Denver and Costa Rica. The carrier also flies to Mexico and to Canada.

:dancefool Awesome price!!!!

It will still be close to $400 after fees\taxes\etc, but that is still damn cheap. At that price, a couple long weekends a year are a must do.

Shit, depending on the times that I choose, it may cost me $298 to fly to Vegas for the bash.

That is a damn good price - I just might have to take a trip down there one of these days! Didn't realize how low it would cost me. A trip to Rio de Janiero has been running $1-1.5K the last year or two!

Their website currently will not let you book SJO origination, nor will let you book SJO destination from any city other than Denver.

Price was $380-400 round-trip, despite AM Costa Rica claiming introductory rate was $596 round-trip.

$380-400 is about right once all the taxes, service fees, and other bullshit border charges are added on.

That $596 claim on AM CR sounds like they thought the $298 RT intro price was one way.

December is a damn good possibility if I have a vac day or few left. The snow is usually shit that early anyhow.

Airfare.com is the place to find the deals on this. Very, VERY rare-but they were about $100 less than what Frontier had on their site. Still scratching my head over that one, but it's legit.
