Hello and Newbie ?- pls explain parlay bets

Hello. I hope you guys don't laugh at me, but could someone explain parlaying a bet for me ? I think I have an idea, but I want to be sure. Thanks in advance

If you have 2 teams you like, for instance

Dolphins and Bills


you make a bet with them together on the same ticket and they both have to win for you to win...IF you win a bet like this the payout is HIGHER then if they are bet separate...

Dante, thanks for replying, but its a little vague Lets say someone put $100 on FL State on ,the under and wanted to parlay it.....

Fla st & under parlayed, both bets must win. Most 2 team parlays pay 2.6 to 1 i believe, so your payout would be $260.
