Hello everybody!! Just want to say that i love this forum! I started betting sports couple weeks ago. I only put like 10 or 15 bucks on each game but i am having a blast doing it. So far i have just been betting spreads and over unders. Had some success the first week with NCAAF and NFL...but last week i took some of that away with a couple beatings....damn u penn ST!!!:Sad Face:

Anyway i just have a couple questions like main one is what you guys look for when capping I mean i i use a couple websites but one when i use this there are so many numbers and things to look at! i am sure i will get better and be able to use more of those numbers the more i do this but what are some key numbers you guys look at. Also i dont understand teasers very well. It doesnt make sense to me that a book would want to give u better odds...does it pay out less? Thank you ahead of time for ur responses and BOL to EVERYONE!!!

Here is a thread of one of the nets most sucessful football capers, although he's in a slump currently but has won something like 10 of the last 13 years, in which he explains the how to's and why for's:

For as teasers go, each book has their own rules and regs, look into them carefully if you go that route. Yes, I play teasers and parlays (many will tell you not a good thing to do) along with single games as well.

clicking on the stats button at the top of the screen gives a lot of good info combined with statfox.com and oobg.com. Also if you want to see where the public is putting their money (helps to anticipate line moves) sportsbook.com is good.

Word of caution to newbies -

You have chosen to enter the "World of Eleven To Ten".

Do not be naieve.

Your opponent is formidable.

You are about to lose FAR MORE than you will win.

You are facing a ton of danger vs an ounce of thrills.

Pay attention to this addage -

"Chance Favors A Prepared Mind."

Good luck.

it also goes for veterans as well watch how much you bet and have in these accounts in addition to the betting and the mental aspect of it the thrill of beating the man for even a few hundred is a good feeling but, another piece of advice ok actually three from someone who has been betting seriously three years
1. Don't bet more then you can afford to lose few bettors have mastered this you see some say "I am risking my entire account on this play" only to see it lose and the account go down to $0 not to scare anyone but, that can happen if you are not carefull
2. If you are up don't be afraid to take a little profit say you have a good week don't hesitate to take atleast your deposit out so you won't lose it all rule of thumb if the balance makes you jumpy don't hesitate to take as much as you want out of your account
3. take breaks if you are losing and focus on the more important things in life friends family good health etc you will be amazed what a break will do for you and you r handicapping success
