Headed to Jacksonville FL Today

Anyone live there or been there that could provide any insight of what goes on there.

I'm going to visit my cousin and when i get there they are taking me for dinner,so after that is what i'm looking for something to do.

Sunday seems to be set up decent as we are going to church in the morning and in afternoon we are going to a blues festival on the beach.Now that sounds like fun as i do get into the blues music especially on the beach

I've checked best i can but didn't find any casinos around,so i guess the one in Tampa is the only closets one.Hard Rock Seminole casino

they once had the superbowl there and never will again. too many complained that there is nothing to do there except get in monumental traffic jams and go to fast food joints. run down neighborhoods, businesses and just about everything there is low grade. tampa too far away so that's not going to happen.

Do you know what part of town your cousin lives? There is a big crowd funding festival this weekend downtown if you don't mind crowds. No casinos. There's a poker room off of Arlington and another with a dog track in Orange Park.
