I'm looking to deposit somewhere...I've played at PP and Pokerstars before but not in a while...haven't consistently played poker online in about six months(Doyle's Room, cashed out up a few hundred and got away from it for a while)...looking to get back in the game, though. Not a big player by any stretch of the imagination, I typically play 1/2 NL.

Any suggestions as to where I should deposit? I liked Doyle's Room simply because the software was good and there seemed to be a lot less BS with the cards than at PP and Pokerstars, which is very important to me. I've heard PP upgraded their software. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

i was down on Party before the upgrades now its my 2nd home, however from my limited cash game experiance i think the games have tightened up a lot..guess its all the poker books out there, loosest cash games now i think are at full tilt and the prima sites. betholdem/wwts for example

I was hoping to see some more responses to this as I am thinking about playing online poker for the first time in about 2 years. I just found it to be too convenient before and found myself playing WAY too much.

does anyone know if any of the software has spyware, adware etc? I have been weary about playing online due to this fact. Thanks for any info or experiences.

Maybe the mods can move this to the offshore instead, to generate more responses?

Labeeb, it's VERY convenient...which I'm sure is why a lot of people piss away their money so quickly.

Luckily I cashed out ahead, but after I had given back some winnings of course. I was playing at Stars at the time and just scooping up cash on the SNG's. But this is going to be a SLOW summer here in SC.

If you only want one site, then Party would be a good bet. Although not the berry patch it once was, there is a huge selection of games. Be aware that Party is now running the 'Vip Point Builder' promotion through May 10. Until this ends the tables will be tougher than normal.
If you don't use Poker Tracker, Bodog would be a good choice. It has an endless 10 per cent bonus, plus you can often play with deranged sports bettors who wander in from the sports book.
It might be a good idea to open an account which caters to Europeans to take advantage of the time difference. Interpoker {a Crytologic skin} and
Bet365 {a Prima skin} are decent choices, but each network has several skins, so you have a lot more choices.
Doyle's Room is a decent place to play, so you may want to stay there.
Just like it's better to have multiple outs with sport books, it's better to have
multiple outs with poker rooms.

Full tilt, especially if you multi table the bonus is not terrible to clear as they match dollar for dollar up to 600 dollars. I cleared my 400 dollar bonus in 10 days..i played alot though. Also, go with a rakeback deal as it will be extra money in your account. Suggestion, solid affiliate is raketherake.com..my 2 cents...oh and software at full tilt is great.

Bodog kinda sux but the players at the small limit like 1/2 2/4 are laughable. Its easy money.

Something a smart sportsbettor does is keep three or four outs (bookies).

You can then take advantage of point variations, promotions and other advantageous options.

I've done the same with poker parlors, keeping at least 3 accounts open - hard, medium and soft.

Right now I have Party Poker, Full tilt, Intertops, Bowmans, and Paradise poker.

When my luck absolutely sucks at one site, I can try another.

The different sites offer different tourney options and numberrs of players - I can get a $6 game at Party poker with 2000 players, or a $6 game at one of the others with 170 players.
_ I can get a $22 game at Party Poker with 800 players, or a $26 game at one of the others with 100 or 200 or 300 players.

The different numbers of chips to start a game (from 1500 at one site to 3000 at another), the differences in software and other factors also add variety and help keep my game from getting stale.

That's my 2 pennies worth.

May the lucky bird shit on your bankroll!

Stars and Party are the 2 biggest sites where you will have the most game selection. The tournaments and ring games at both of these sites are tougher then they were a couple of years ago, but they are still beatable. Competion is tougher at Stars (it is not rigged) so I primarily play at Party. The smaller sites do offer great bonuses and rakeback which should be taken advantage of by players who are starting out or playing at lower levels.

Any player who thinks that any of the larger online poker rooms would not deal out a fair game should give their head a shake. These rooms would NEVER want to jeopardize the millions of dollars of rake that they make by altering the randomness of the games in any way. Collusion exists but is not that common, especially at lower levels, and if you ever come across it, report it to the sites and they will warn or ban the players involved.

If you think that the deal is not random at a site. Please understand that in the short run it can appear as though everycard is getting turned against you. This is called variance, it takes a long time to reach the long run, but if you play thousands of hands like me, you understand that you can run very hot and very cold in poker but in time the cards break even, but the money doesn't. (The good players eventually get the money).

Before I played at stars a lot and won a lot, however if I only could choose one, Partypoker is definitely for me, it's hands down the best, soft game compare to stars, fast cashout, no waittime, so far so good.
