That personal foul on UGA changed the game and was the worst call I have ever seen. The guy had his hand on the ball, how could he possibly be a "defenseless receiver"? Are the defenders supposed to be able to hold up and wait to see if the WR can make the catch before contact? Seriously, this new emphasis on contact is going to ruin what was once a sport of men. Now... I don't know what to think. Just total bullshit.

BTW- bitter UGA backer here. But that was messed up.

because it LOOKED worse than it was. defenseless WR took a big hit. in slow mo it wasnt that but the refs went by appearance

also, it's a major point the ncaa is trying to put across....taking out the nasty hits that players take

What worries me is the effects that this new emphasis will have on the NFL, as they are mirroring the "new" rule. That was a CLEAN hit, and that call COMPLETELY changed the game. Seriously, the WR's hand was on the ball. If they are going to call that, you might as well be playing two hand touch or flag football.

Win some. Lose some. I lost. But I would rather see the players decide the outcome than the refs.
