There is no coach out there that blatantly covers spreads at home like Mike Leach...When TT plays the bad to average teams at home, you will either see me betting on TT or just leaving the game alone. Like I said before, it's good to know where a coach stands when it comes to covering the spreads for their homeboyz.
thread should be bumped for next year. especially early ooc games against soft competition.

One of the sweeter wins ever, especially the way the USC fans were cheering at the end. Don't worry SC backers, you will get redemption when ND comes to town.

Yeah, we need to save this as a reminder. So I think we can agree on these coaches:

Meyer
Spurrier
Leach
Harbaugh

And I really think these coaches if given a chance to cover will make an effort to do it are:

Mangino
Todd Graham
June Jones-whenever he builds a good team.
Brian Kelly-I've never seen him blantantly cover a spread, but his teams are very good at getting the cover. And I think he's just firey enough to want to rub it in a little if given half a chance.

pete caroll was laughing when he called the time out. ANyone who bet on usc was not waiting for tht 4th quarter to start feeling confident of there wager on the road rag.Style points dont seem to important to this usc team who didnot do dick offensively in the first half.

Kelly is my #1. I really hope he doesn't go to a big time program (Tenn), because that would be the end of the pointspread value. He is always laying short numbers, great for pleasers.

Something else to think about is some of these first or second year coaches like Rodriguez at Michigan. Come next season, if this team is improved, and if they get half a chance to rub it in against a sister of the poor team, I believe he will. Especially after the season that he's had this year. I guarantee you he'll do everything in his power to satisfy the alums next season.

One coach who has showed on more than one occassion that he is CLUELESS to the spread and couldn't care less is Charlie Weiss. Put him on the opposite list.

Wittingham of Utah seems to be more wary of covering than most, as does Gundy (despite what happened this week). he went out of his way to cover vs A&M

Gundy is more of a home favorite type of coach...He'll do anything to please Boone Pickens when the game is being played in Stillwater.

You can add Coach Sanford at UNLV, especially when they are a dog. Last year UNLV was losing and scored a late touchdown, he then called for a 2 point conversion and got the backdoor cover.
