Old Jack was the meanest man who ever lived. He climbed an apple tree one day and The Devil came up to him and said "I will give you Two dollars to come down from the tree." Jack came down took the money and then climb back into the tree with the Devils Money. When Old Jack finally died, he tried to get into heaven but Saint Peter told him that he could not go through the gates. He sent him down to see The Devil and Satan told him that he could not enter Hell either. He gave Jack and old pumpkin and a lump of coal and told him he could use it as a lantern as his soul walked through enternity in limbo. Thus the Jack O Lantern was born.
