May 7th Selections:
The cutoff time for making selections on the Minnesota-Vancouver game was 9:00pm EST on Wednesday 07 May 2003. However, there is also a 5 minute grace period to 9:05pm, if no goals are scored in the first three minutes of the game. Because the first goal was scored in the second period, any selection made at 9:05 pm or earlier was included.
The cutoff time for editing an existing post is 8:45pm on Wednesday 07 May 2003. None of the examples cited was an edit of an existing post, so the cutoff times that were described in the preceding paragraph are the relevant considerations.
These cutoff times were established because it possible to edit a post without generating a notation that the post was edited for approximately 7 or 8 minutes after the post was first made. Although a contestant runs the risk of disqualification if they attempt this and get caught, it is possible to post at 9:05pm and make unnoted edits up until 9:12 or 9:13pm. You will note that this roughly corresponds with the actual start time of the game that you have noted. This is why the cutoff times are the way that they are.
This is also why all of the examples that you cited were received before the deadline, but also why your selections were not received before the deadline.
May 10th:
All of your selections were properly graded and reported. Your selections on Saturday's games were 0-1-1 -2.00 units. In addition, you made a selection of Ottawa (Conference) -125 (4 Units), which was deducted from your bankroll.
