High tide, full moon and a major major storm surge ...Having seen a few "king tide" storms here the potential damage could be being underestimated ...

Hang tight Connecticut and friends

Here’s an update . What a fucken joke. Drove my daughter to geneseo on Friday drove back to Long Island yesterday got back 8pm . Heading East on LIE 495 no traffic looking across heading west bumper to bumper to exit 62 then turned off exit 70 eventulally got on sunrise hwy same thing looking west side traffic backed up to east Hampton . Gas stations out of gas the ones open lines 20+ deep. My wife called me on road said grocery stores cleaned out. It’s now 1030 I’m sitting here maybe 1/4 inch of rain winds gusting around 40. I was assuming zero electric all my swimming pools trashed .
Another Social Media “storm” . I have lost power on calm days before but hoping it stays on . Maybe massive storm surge but no doom and gloom hurricane

Some pretty hard rain on and off here north of Boston but not much wind. Not much more than a rainy day. I'm several miles off the coast. The coast may be different.

Brendan,

Dam I would've totally lost me shit getting muredered by traffic and wife calling saying all the shelves are empty

the weather channel had you guys dead to rights for almost 48 hours straight, every half hour showing
a graphic of a hurricane smashing into Montauk.

warning about flash floods etc and then backing it up with a 4D simulation of getting caught in a flash flood.

Basically showing you what was going to happen to you AND then showing 10 people dying
in Tennessee floods without mentioning it was a different storm system ( I think )

Be safe.

I hate hurricane scares.

makes me happy I invested in accordion shutters and hurricane proof glass Windows.

Some local news stations make it even worse.

funny, we had 2 scares last year and the news stations didn’t even try to scare us as we were dealing with covid
