As a sports fan. I've always enjoyed breaking down the games and making my own picks.

Would be hard for me to find the enjoyment in it all if I simply followed other cappers. I do from time to time coattail some of the better cappers if I feel their picks are logical or if they see something I don't.

Paying a tout is a waste, imo. Too many good forum cappers who'll give you winners for free.

Ditto what ego74 said!

Look at match-ups, look for generous lines/totals, read what others in the Rx have to say about the games, and then pick your strongest 2-3 plays and start small. Education can be expensive with live wagers.

If you're new to gambling, you may want to just write your picks down on paper and keep track of how you are doing for a few weeks before plunking down real $$. This may sound childish and pointless, but you will be surprised how wrong you can be when you first start out. To writ: the best cappers in the world hope to win 60% of their bets long-term...if you win anything more than 50%, you are doing okay. GL (That means "Good Luck!")

And whatever you do, RESIST the temptation to go "double-or-nothing" after a loss. That is a quick way to dig yourself into a hole you can't get out of. Just accept your loss, learn from it, pay up, and move on. As overused as the cliche "It's a marathon, not a sprint" is, it still rings very true.

I started a long time ago with an outfit called SCORE. They cost me a lot of money. I have used Kelso Stergeon, ATS, MIke Wynn, Jeff Allen Sports, Wayne Root, among others. When it was all said and done I lost money. They seem to ALWAYS lose their big games and then when you have given up on them due to horrible records they have a 2 star that wins. I track every game in the NFL and pick a side also. I am not trying to sell you anything just tell you my record is much better than theres. Nobody cares more about your money than you do. There are quality cappers on this forum. Track them for yourself and put that together with your own picks and you will be money ahead. If it sounds to good to be true it is.:fballch3:

I can see why you lost money with those high pressure outfits.

Jeff Allen Sports & Mike Wynn were run by the same guy.

ATS lies about their record. They have no scruples.

Varies from place to place. ATS Lock is 3,000 per season Financial 1500.00 and other places will charge you per week. I have posted 3 games on here and with those 3 games am up more units (3) than any of these guys ever made me. Score and Kelso were the worst.

There's no reason that with proper money management, just by following Bucsfan in baseball, Ace-Ace in football, etc (not to take away from any of the other great handicappers on this site, as there are a tremendous number of them), there's no reason that one can't double their account every year. But you've got to play religiously and if this is the path you take, you have to throw out your own opinions on the games. It's by no means a guaranteed "easy money making scheme" but it should prove effective year in and year out.

The trick is, who is good on here?

I've seen one name, Ace-Ace. Is there somewhere we can check previous year's performance?
