Anybody else have an annual binge watch of the complete series? Every October I watch the complete original series up to Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers. After that I make my way to the others if time allows. Ranking the originals would be as follows for me:

  1. Halloween (1978)
  2. Halloween IV: The Return of Michael Myers
  3. Halloween II
  4. Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers
  5. Halloween V: The Revenge of Michael Myers
Although Halloween V is my least favorite, and believe me it is long and drawn out, it has, in my opinion, one of the best scenes of the entire series. The scene where Michael sheds a tear when Jamie calls him Uncle is just awesome. This pure evil cold blooded killer shows what seems to be his last bit of humanity left. The last part of his heart is shown here. In Halloween 6 Michael is angrier than ever and he is on a rampage. The occult influence on him has proven too much. Donald Pleasance aka Dr. Loomis is one of the best characters of all time. Dr. Loomis keeps the allure and mystery of Michael alive in each movie. Love the series and can accept the short-comings. I truly wish they would have capitalized more on Jamie attempting to kill her step-mother at the end of IV. I feel had they worked on that continuation going into V and 6 it would have had more success.

I found 2 kinda boring. Really glad it didnt end the franchise.
after if they switched to the next killer in Season of the Witch (which i actually liked, even tho it was bad) but that flopped so they went back to Michael thank goodness.

I thought there would be a solid, new pay-per-view horror/supernatural movie.

Super Natural aka Laws of Nature... Not suitable for adults.... Trump Trials!

Recommended for children ages 12 and under. It is free sorry.... no pay per view

I watched the Rob Zombie Halloween for the first time this year. I haven't made it around to the second one yet. I wasn't sure what to think about it at first because I prefer horror movies that leave out the over the top gore. I like gruesome things to be left to the imagination. I think there is a certain art to cutting scenes at the right time. Anyways, the one feature in Zombie's Halloween I like and actually would've preferred to remain was the "homemade" masks he was wearing. I thought that gave him a scarier and more intimidating presence. I thought it made Zombie's Halloween unique and not just more of the same. The one thing I really hated was the portrayal of Dr. Loomis. I thought that guy was not a good fit but then again only Donald Pleasance can ever be Dr. Loomis to me. I would rate the movie a 8/10 as I was surprised at how fresh the storyline was.

Donald Pleasance was so good in the Halloween series. Michael Myers was pure evil. What was great was he couldn't be killed. The use of Mr Sandman in the sequel and of course the original classic Halloween score. The budget in the original was so small it was filmed in Pasadena instead of using an actual small town in the midwest.

A straight classic. The opening scene with the carved pumpkin and that Halloween score is epic.
