Gutter: Here's my take. Fixed or not ( I believe fixed), you can't expect to be playing with an advantage. I don't believe it is possible to count cards online, that's the only way to win at BJ.
I rarely play any game where I don't hold a theoretical advantage. I may make an exception and buy 50-100 Powerball tix when jackpot is 200 million +, I haven't done that in at least a year.
One could make an arguement for " a one time" bet at negative odds. Let's say you owe $2,000 for a bill that's due, and really needs to be paid now. You have $1,100, just started a new job, but won't get paid for weeks.
You could borrow it from relatives, but will get a ration of crap for it, same ration for $900 or $2,000, and you will pay it back. One might bet $1,000 on the dice to pass here, the negative expectation is like $15. Hope to hell you win, then quit, and never do that again. I've never done that, but might given those circumstances.
I don't play slots much, but if you must play, I say play Mega-bucks. If you win it will change your life, hopefully not like it changed Jack Whitaker's, the guy that won hundreds of millions and has been in trouble ever since.
