I'm curious to understand The Change and what caused it. 20 Years ago American people would have near unanimously condemned an athlete for making a show like this and not standing for the Anthem. Now its different.

Not even close to true. During the Vietnam War, many, many people did not stand for the Anthem in School, at Ballparks. Learn some history. It's not right, or wrong. This Country gives people the right to stand or not stand for it. What's changed is you have cement head(Thanks Vit) Idiots who think Freedom only applies to people who are like them, and agree with them.

By not standing for the national anthem, I'm not so sure I'd say he's fighting for poor people.

If we went out now and marched or went to his local PD to start a dialogue, I'd probably take him a bit more serious as if he's trying to really initiate some actual change.

I was just commenting on logic in here. Just because he's not oppressed doesn't mean he can't support others that are. It's similar to righties who get on rich liberal Celebrities because they fight on behalf of the poor.

I'm not sure in this day in age I'd say anyone is opressed with how far this country has come. We have an African American President. It's better than ever as far as equality goes IMO.

1. Times past a team mate would certainly have responded as you describe

2. No team mate can object, to Pro-Black stuff, cuz to do so equals he gets cast in the role of "Racist"

3. So everyone has to just stay silent, let BLM and Black Social Justice Warriors dictate what the conversation will be.
