60% of teachers. Latest reason is they lobbied to move up in line for the vaccine and then still refused to go back to the classroom. In Detroit, they are giving them a $500 bonus and two extra vacation days to come back...if they are afraid of Covid, how does that mitigate their fear?
On top of that, they all voluntarily sign-up for the job and then constantly complain about it including citing a low salary forgetting to mention they work nine months of the year. With all that, the media is still worse.

Current media is a product of lack of Journalists and Journalism. That can change, but not as long as most news networks employ lawyers, relatives of politicians and tokens rather than Journalists. Trump made a mistake in citing the media as enemy of the people (true) without differentiating that Journalism, the fourth estate, is needed and valued.

There can still be good journalists. News broadcasts and newspapers used to be a source of information. The internet and social media killed that. If you want to read about an event you go to the internet and access whatever information nearly instantly. People don't sit around and wait for the news to find out what happened. It's who can break the story first and catering to a demographic.

Current media is mostly a product of power and money. Those that have the power and control, control the narrative. If you don't fall in line at CNN with the narrative they want you to spin, you won't be around very long. Who owns The Washington Post? The richest guy in the world. He ultimately controls the narrative spewed from that garbage rag.

There are plenty of real journalists out there. Problem is, they mostly are not MSM. Or they have to go independent.
