Not a huge fan of over/under, but really like this one: Gremio owns the 2nd best defense in Serie A and gets back their defensive captain Pedro Geromel. Defensively, they are pretty much at full strenght, but at the same time they recently struggled to score. This is not surprising at all because their goalgetter Luan is injured and is not expected to play, their captain and best offensive midfielder Maicon is suspended and on their wings they are missing several players. Maicon is key to their transition game and with him and Luan out, they will once again struggle vs Flamengo, who should sit back here and first and foremost will try to keep a clean sheet. Gremios substitutes are way more defense-orientated, meaning that they are a downgrade for Gremios offense, but at the same time are defensively more skilled and play their position more defensively.
Flamengo recently focused more on defense and that resulted in b2b 0-1 losses, incl. last Sundays narrow loss at no.1 Corinthians. Lost 6 out of their last 7, only beating Joinville at home in Rio. The team is completely in turmoil and this week things spun completely out of control: After Tuesdays practice 5 players (Alan Patrick, Everton and Para pretty much were regulars, Paulinho either in their starting formation or the first player coming from the bench, 5th guy has been injured for quite a while) were suspended. After practice (supposedly) those five guys were out partying, stories of drinking & prostitutes until early morning (the players version was that they attended a friends birthday bbq for about 2-3hrs until late noon and then left), so the club ended up suspending all of them for the time being. Jonas received a red card vs Corinthians, so Flamengo will be missing pretty much their whole midfield, while players like Sheik Emerson are missing anyways for quite some time already. Yes, they still have Paolo Guerrero, one of the best strikers in Serie A, but he hasn't scored in quite some time since he is kind of lost up front, without much help from his teammates.
I expect the same here, since there will be a huge dropoff in talent level in Flamengos midfield and there can't be much chemistry between those players. All that vs the 2nd best defense and they should struggle mightily to create scoring opportunities. On the other hand Flamengos defense is almost completely unaffected by all this, Para at times played outside defender, but his backup is a better defender anyways, just doesn't create nearly as much offense as Para did.
On paper looks like a 0-0/1-0 type of game, maybe 2-0 because of a late goal if the losing team opens up their defense a bit, pushing for the equalizer.

2-0, +1.82 ...late 2nd goal by Gremio when Flamengo opened up because of trailing while being a man down...after the 2-0 Fla quit, gifted Gremio another great scoring opportunity but only hit the goalpost. So another half win/ half push here
