They will miss Makaay and Hargreaves more than anyone can imagine. Huge hole in Central Mid right now. Please remember they weren't even in the top 3 last year !

they are rightfully big favs... great transfers plus both altintop and ze roberto can play central mid along with demichelis and van bommel. Klose more than makes up for Makaay up front, especially paired with Luca Toni. With Schweinsteiger (sp?) and Ribery at wide mid this is an awesome starting 11 for the Bundy league. Klose + Toni are better than Makkay

Makkay scored 16 goals in 33 games

Toni 16 in 29 games same amount of goals scored but 2005/2006 Toni scored 31 goals in italian championship ! Klose played bad in Werder Bremen second half of the season . Many say its because he didnt want to play there anymore and team is very mad at him .

Only team I can see challenging them is Werder Bremen but Munich team is way too stacked . Just look at their starting 11 and you will know whats going on . I see them having a good chance at winning UEFA cup too .:smoker2:

Question is whether they can play as a team. Such a radical overhaul in the squad, it might take a while for them to build a good understanding. Schalke, Stuttgart, Werder will suffer for losing some key players but they've all got strong team spirit.

Other teams lost their key players too .

Stuttgart without Hildebrandt , Werder lost Klose , Schalke Altintop .

Bayern played well against brazilian champ in a friendly match .

in 3 weeks Werder Bremen will play Munich and we will see who wins and go from there on .

I absolutely agree with that.
There's no question that Bayern has the best players but we will have to see if they will really perform. I'm especially not convinced yet that Toni and Klose will be able to help the team. I think Toni is currently overrated and Klose, who has struggled towards the end of the past season, might be too fragile to succeed in the rather hostile Bayern environment.

Don't get me wrong, if I had to predict the Bundesliga Champion I'd definitely name Bayern. But I'm not sure if it's really such a great bet at the low odds of 1.65.
