That was the year Brady and the boys blew a 18 point lead. The biggest comeback in afc championship history

Yea that's what it was. I just remember thinking back then that Manning was real lucky winning that 1 super bowl.

Manning came very close to joining Marino as great QBs who never won a SB.

I guess you could say Favre almost never won 1 either.

Im glad you admit that I caught you in a lie......

I did bet that ML... against my boss at the time who gave me +700 instead of +400.

2007-2008 will go down as the period in which I partied the most in my life, sorry for killing too many brain cells and not remembering the facts straight. I'll admit when I'm wrong no problems Mikey.

Both of those are a bit of a stretch. I mean they were on good teams, their teams won. Who cares if it was the most impressive team they were on or not.

his arm is dead, and it has been for the last 4 weeks of the regular season, I think it's his last game

either that, or he has some nagging injury they haven't told us about

Combination of age and being banged up I'm sure. Not even an injury really but just being 38 he can't recover as fast as the other guys.

I doubt he'll retire. Great athletes don't tend to know when to call it quits even if there is reason for doing so.

Manning threw three touchdowns and seven picks during his one Super Bowl–winning playoff run.

He's not even in the discussion of the greatest of all time.

But if they would have not comeback from 18 down he would have won 0 super bowls.

Thats pretty close to never winning one if you ask me.

Favre may have been a stretch but New England could have easily won that game if Howard would not have had that game he had.

Chop, excuse me, but Manning passed the torch last year to Russell Wilson.... Just because Peyton lost this particular game doesn't mean the torch is automatically passed to luck.. Lucks not winning anything else the rest of the year.. just a playoff win over an overrated team.... Wilson should have 2 rings here in 3 weeks.... and if you want to attack this from another angle lets just forget all about this torch business altogether with Peyton..

Why can't Indi win in NE? Totally plausible.

Come on man... NE never threatened at all in that game to say they could have won

The man that said this is paid seven figures by ESPN. The great Skip Bayless.

I guess, you can really open a lot of "what ifs" if you start saying stuff like that. They were down 15 at half, it was hardly an insurmountable lead.

They won a close game, a lot of teams win close games en route to winning championships.

Are you saying wilson is better than Luck?

And he will still say it. Tomorrow he will be going on and on about the Cowboys and wont even mention Luck except to say the colts have no chance at New England

Hey Redeye.
I have a lot of respect for Wilson. I really do.
And you may be correct about him winning his 2nd SB in 3 weeks but I dont honestly think you can say with a straight face Wilson is>Luck.

That was the year they beat NE with the 4th and 2.

They turned the heat up in Lucas Oil Stadium and beat the Pats.

They won the SB against the inept Bears.......the RXForum could have put 11 guys up to beat the Bears that year.

actually it was the RCA Dome... final season before Lucas Oil switch.
