well, spank me and call me nelly.......whoda` thunk it.....

why didn`t we see it?..

i wrote in a thread here and on another boxing site about how hard it was for jones to make 175.....after going up in weight to fight ruiz....then dropping ALL that weight to get to 175 to fight tarver...he basically had to lose muscle to get to 175...the guy carried no fat whatsoever........he looked like an aids victim in that first tarver bout....

but,to get knocked the f-ck out cold by glen johnson?.......

jones can never set foot in the ring again...it`s over...

they say it happens fast....when you hit that wall.....it happened to jones after the ruiz fight.......he was such a great athlete that he slid by in the first tarver fight....

the ramifications?......this was a brutal hit to tarver`s rep....i never thought tarver was all that.....i saw eric harding beat tarver silly...then harding got involved in drugs or something and was never the same...and just disappeared....

tarver`s the biggest loser here....after jones...

i`m happy for johnson......after all those bad decisions....all the unfairness...fighting in everybody else`s backyards.....

good for johnson.....

tarver?.....he takes a bit hit...the jones k.o. wasn`t all that...

this is why we love boxing......whew....

To be honest, after watching a video of him training, and then i thought to myself, This guy must be the biggest underdog for a champion ive ever seen. +700??? I knew he would work hard and push the action. All i had left was 20 bucks so i threw it down on him. I probably wouldnt have thrown down more than 100 on him, i would have thought i was crazy. the guy earned it, and Jones is def done. He should have stayed at heavyweight, and if this happened he wouldnt have lost any of his credibility. Totally different at 175. As far as Tarver, now he doesnt look like much. I have never thought much of him either, and i personally hate the guy. He is such a tool. All the past greats are going down.... I think Trinidad is next. Good luck on football guys

Jones

I think that its really all a mental thing with Jones. Maybe he's lost some of his reflexes but the speed still looks to be there. His heart just isnt. He has no desire to fight anymore. What a way to end the career of one of the greatest fighters in the sport. A prime Jones murders both of these guys and I've never really liked Roy Jones. But wow, even though I dont it kind of makes me sad.
